Course Description
AP World History is a college-level course that covers the expansive history of the human world from approximately 8000 B.C.E. to the present. The course highlights the nature of changes in international frameworks and their causes and consequences, as well as comparisons among major societies.
The curriculum is divided into historical periods spanning Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. Major topics include the development of civilizations, empires, trade, interactions between cultures, revolutions, industrialization, imperialism, nationalism, global conflicts, and contemporary globalization.
